The PERKESO LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme is an accident protection scheme that provides 24-hour coverage for eligible employees against non-work-related accidents that occur during the employment period. The scheme offers financial protection and support through various
benefits, including medical benefits, disablement benefits, rehabilitation support, dependent’s benefits, funeral benefits, and education benefits, subject to PERKESO’s terms and conditions.

• Employee Eligibility
Employee Eligibility refers to the requirements that an employee must meet in order to be
covered under the PERKESO LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme. Eligible employees include those who are registered and covered under PERKESO, including local and foreign employees, subject to the scheme’s requirements. Employees must fulfil the eligibility criteria and contribution conditions to receive the benefits provided under the scheme.
• Opt In or Opt Out
Opt In or Opt Out refers to the choice given to eligible employees on whether they want to participate in the PERKESO LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme.
- Opt In means the employee chooses to join and receive coverage under the scheme.
- Opt Out means the employee chooses not to participate in the scheme, subject to the applicable requirements and deadline.
For the scheme, employees who do not submit an opt-out declaration within the given period will be automatically enrolled. Once an employee joins the scheme, they are not allowed to opt out in the future.

on the employee’s monthly wages, subject to the maximum wage ceiling of RM6,000.

The contribution payment can be made through several channels, including the ASSIST 2.0 Portal (FPX Payment), Direct Debit Authorisation (DDA), and appointed bank counters. Employers are responsible for ensuring that the contributions are deducted from employees’ salaries and paid to PERKESO within the required period.
Benefits Provided Under the LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme
Benefits Provided Under the LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme refers to the financial and social protection benefits available to eligible employees covered under the scheme. The benefits provided include Medical Benefit, Temporary Disablement Benefit, Permanent Disablement Benefit,
Allowance for Full-Time Caregiving Support, Physical / Vocational Rehabilitation Benefit, Dependent’s Benefit, Funeral Benefit, and Education Benefit, subject to PERKESO’s prescribed terms and conditions.
• Types of Accidents Not Covered Under the LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme
Types of Accidents Not Covered Under the LINDUNG 24 Hours Scheme refers to accidents or situations that are excluded from coverage under the scheme. These exclusions include work-related accidents covered under other PERKESO schemes, fraudulent or criminal-related accidents, self-inflicted injuries or suicide, misuse of work passes or permits (for foreign employees), accidents during unpaid leave without
contribution, accidents occurring before the scheme takes effect or before becoming an employee, and diseases or injuries not caused by accidents.
